第一次读《小王子》，是在高中的时候，一下子就被他那清新的文笔和单纯的世界所吸引。六年后的现在，再读《小王子》，不禁一次次地流泪，为小王子那慑人心魂的忧伤而心悸，为他纯洁而执着的爱所感动，也为自己那逐渐泯灭的童心而哀悼。正象作者圣-埃克絮佩利在序言里面说的，他把这个童话献给雷昂维尔特，当他还是一个小男孩的时候

这是一个属于成人的童话，属于曾经有过童心的成年人的童话，孩子们是无法体会小王子彻骨的忧伤和爱的沉重的。他们也不应该过早地体会这些，他们应该在阳光明媚的世界里享受着快乐的时光。这与其说是一个童话，不如说是一个悲剧。童话里的主人公总是像白雪公主或灰姑娘一样，幸福美满地生活。而忧伤的小王子却在发见爱的真谛后死在沙漠里。

小说的情节很简单，主要是从我的角度讲述小王子的游历过程。因为一朵美丽而娇气的玫瑰，小王子离开了一直平静地生活着的b-612小游星，他先后游历了六个星球，在这些星球上，他遇到一些他觉得很不可理逾的大人，狂妄自大的国王，财迷心窍的商人、迂腐的点灯人于是他不断的感慨，大人的世界确实奇怪。在这里作者以小王子的孩子式的眼光，透视出这些大人们的空虚、盲目和愚妄，也道出了成人的孤独寂寞、无可适从的处境。

最后他来到了地球。在这里他遇到了一只狐狸，这只狐狸给他解决了那朵娇气的小玫瑰给他带来的对爱的疑惑，使他明白，爱意味着责任,意味着慈悲，有了爱(广义的爱)生活里的一切才有了意义。狐狸告诉他：对于你使之驯顺的东西，你永远有责任。你要对你的玫瑰尽责。如果你使我驯顺了，我的生活就会充满阳光，欢快起来。我将会听出一种与众不同的脚步声。.你有着一头金发，于是，一旦你使我驯顺了，这将变得妙不可言!金色的小麦将使我回想起你来。于是我就会爱上穿行麦浪的风声爱使人懂得了忧伤和痛苦，同时使人摆脱了孤独寂寞，使生活变得有充满情趣和意义。正象小王子对我说的：这就象花一样。如果你爱上了一朵生长在一颗星星上的花，那么夜间，你看着天空就感到甜蜜愉快，所有的星星上都好象开着花。于是作者明白，这世界上，一只小绵羊吃掉一朵花儿，是没什么大不了的事，但对于小王子来说，那就如同所有的星星顷刻间都熄灭。
